SCS OCTOBER ADRIATIC EXPEDITION
Dateline 21-10-09.
The expedition team members have now returned to UK and other places, and have gone home tired but happy in the knowledge that the expedition achieved its aims. The quest to be the first to get free swimming underwater footage of a Great White shark in the Mediterranean goes on, but the serious conservation aim of the expedition was to prove a Blue shark pupping ground and to pass the data to our Mediterranean scientific advisor Alen Soldo. Three separate visits to the target area proved the pupping ground and the data has now been given to Alen who is looking at the best way forward to give a measure of protection to the juvenile Blue sharks in this area.
