SCS EXPEDITION UPDATE NEWS. ADRIATIC BLUE SHARK NURSERY AREA

The above expedition worked off the Kornati island group in the central Adriatic on October 10/11 and 12. The indications are very strong that this area, which Alen Soldo suspects is a pupping ground, will be confirmed as such. The expedition has recorded several sharks (Prionace glauca) at the survey site and they were all pups/juveniles.

Bad weather forced the team ashore but they hope to be back on the water in the same area on 14/15 October filming and further confirming this exciting discovery.
