Future Expeditions
There follows a list of our planned future expeditions. Those interested should note.
Our expeditions take a lot of organising, a lot of funding, and often require liaison with governments and NGO's. For this reason we can never be precise about dates as we are in the hands of others. The dates below should be treated as guides only and once firm expedition dates have been achieved, they will go first into the members section and two weeks later onto the public part of the website. Expedition places are allocated strictly on a first come first served basis and those who have not been on previous SCS expeditions will be interviewed before their place is confirmed.
JULY 2010
Annual Porbeagle expedition.
AUTUMN 2010
East Mediterranean based in Alexandria, Egypt. At sea and market survey for fourteen days.
APRIL 2011
It has now been confirmed by Dr. Adel Al-Zayani of the Government of Bahrain that our expedition in Bahraini waters next April (8 - 27) has got the go ahead. Volunteers should contact the office a.s.a.p. to put their names down, and priority will be given to those who were accepted for the April 2010 UAE expedition which was cancelled.
